Deactivating a Wibu License Offline

Description: Below is the process to Deactivate a Wibu License Offline. This process is often used if you need to Deactivate an existing License or move an existing License to a new or upgraded computer/server.

1.) To deactivate your License Offline, you need to run the Activation Wizard
  1. Type in Activation Wizard in the start menu and click on the App



2.) Click on Offline Activation/Deactivation 



3.) Click Deactivate or Move an Existing License 



4.) Select the License you would like to Activate
  1. Click Next



5.) Confirm you would like to Deactivate the following License 
  1. Click Next 



6.) Click save to create a license deactivation request file.
  1. You will need to save this File to a flash drive and bring that File to an internet connected computer



7.) In the example below, the file was saved in the Downloads folder because the computer is connected to the internet.
  1. If you do not have connection to the internet, save this file to your flash drive.


8.) You have now created a license deactivation request file
  1. In the next steps we will activate the request file using an internet connected computer.
  2. Visit activate.mastercam.com on an internet connected computer
  3. Click Finish to exit out of the Activation Wizard



9.) Once you have typed in the URL, select Deactivate a License 



10.) You will use the .mcDea File that was saved to your Flash drive to upload and verify in the next steps
  1. Click Browse to locate the .mcDea File



11.) In the example below, the .mcDea File was saved to the Downloads Folder
  1. If you saved your file to your flashdrive, select the .mcDea File
  2. Click Open



12.) Once you open the .mcDea File, your Deactivation code should now appear
  1. Click Upload and Verify



13.) Your license is now verified 
  1. Click Deactivate your license 



13.) You have successfuly deactivated your license offline
