Mastercam WiBu CodeMeter Setup

CodeMeter Setup

Enable Server

1.) For first time activations, follow the steps below to enable Server broadcasting



2.) Select WebAdmin



Alternative Method to open Code Meter



3.)  Navigate to Configuration>Server>Server Access Tab
  1. Enable Network Server (Required)
  2. Enable CmWAN Server (WAN only needed if WAN exists) 
  3. Click Apply



4.) Note the IP address of the server for future steps
  1. If you have firewalls setup, make sure ports 22350 and 2251 are open.



5.) CodeMeter will need to be restarted for changes to be in effect
  1. To restart Codemeter: 
    1. Left Click on green CodeMeter in systems tray to bring up the Control Center
    2. Hover or click on Process> Restart CodeMeter Service


6.) Enabling the server is done.






 How to set up Client Computer

Steps For Clients:

1.) Right click CodeMeter in systems tray and go to Web Admin




2.) Click on configuration and Server search list will show up.
  1. Click add a new server 


3.) Enter IP address of Server we enabled In Server Configuration
  1. Click Apply 


4.) Now we need to look for server we defined
  1. Click at the bottom of the the Web admin screen in the green bar current Server (LocalHost 127.0.0.1 is default)
  2. Select Computer Name/IP address of server configured above.
  3. In the example Matt-PC @ 192.168.1.4 is the license Server

5.) Web Admin will move back to Dashboard Panel
  1. You can verify things are working by clicking on Container tab and show licenses that are active


6.) That's it! Click Mastercam 2023 icon on Desktop
  1. First run may take a minute or two so be patient as the system will create items needed for Mastercam to run.
