Offline 1st Activation/update Instructions

Offline Activation Instructions

Description: Use this guide for initial activation or for updating codes using the offline activation method.
  1. Once you have received your Wibu codes, follow the steps to update your Wibu license Offline.  If Codemeter and Activation Wizard are not installed on your server click the link below to download CodeMeter RunTime and Mastercam Activation Wizard Setup and then install them on your server.


Note for those only updating Wibu Codes: Ensure you have the latest version of CodeMeter RunTime and Mastercam Activation Wizard Setup installed, if not use the link above

1.) Activate your License/update your codes
  1. Type in Activation Wizard in the start menu and click on the App
  2. Activation Wizard will be installed in the article Wibu - Setup & Activation - Network (Multi-computers)



2.) Choose the method to activate your license
  1. Select Offline Activation/Deactivation



3.) Choose Activate a New License



4.) Accept the terms and conditions page, and then click next



5.) Enter the License number and Activation Code you received from your Reseller or CNC Software, Inc..
  1. You should see a green checkmark indicating a successful license number and Activation code
  2. Click Next to continue



6.) In order to activate your license offline you must request an activation code used in the next steps.
  1. Click Save 
  2. Note: Do not exit out of the Activation Wizard on your offline or online computer. we will continue the Offline Activation in the next few steps.



7.) Save Activation Code to a location of your choosing Ex: Downloads folder or Flash drive.
  1. We will use this File to activate our license on an internet connected computer in the next steps
  2. Note: If your computer is not connected to the internet, save this file to a Flash drive and plug it into an internet connected computer.



8.) Once the File is saved to a location of your choosing, visit activate.mastercam.com on the internet connected computer.
  1. The license request needs to be activated over the internet to fulfill the Offline Activation process.



9.) Once you have typed in the URL click on Activate a License 
  1. We are going to Activate the downloaded .mcReq file that was saved to either to your flash drive (because computer is offline) or in the downloads folder (saved if you have internet connection).




10.)  Browse for the .mcReq file that was saved in either your Downloads folder or Flash Drive 



11.) Locate the .mcReq File and click Open



12.) Your Activation code will now appear and is ready to be verified
  1. Click Upload and Verify once your code appears



13.) Your license is now verified
  1. Click the Download .mcLic that is now verified. (This may take a few seconds to generate)
  2. After Downloading your .mcLic File to your Flash Drive, close this Browser 



14.) Bring up the Activation Wizard menu on your offline computer  
  1. Click Next to continue the Offline Activation



15.) Click Finish Installing a New License




16.) We need to load the newly activated Mastercam License File from your Flash Drive 
  1. Click Open



17.) Navigate to where you downloaded your license file in step 20.) 
  1. Select the .mcLic File and click Open 
  2. The example shown below was located in the Downloads folder


18.) Your Mastercam License file should now appear
  1. Click Next to continue



19.) Your Offline Activation is now complete.
  1. Click Finish 




Enable Server

20.) For first time activations, follow the steps below to enable Server broadcasting
